Question from 1st informational session (10/6/23):
Is there a policy on the freedom of participants to publish their results once the data is made public?
Following the conclusion of the second challenge, we aim to collaborate on a joint publication and extend an invitation to the top-performing model contributors to co-author the paper. While participants are free to publish their results or methodology independently, we recommend waiting until the challenge results have been announced and the longitudinal response data for the test datasets are made available.
For the public challenge, we are coordinating with scientific journals in the field of computational biology and systems biology to create a special issue where all model contributors can author and submit their papers. However, this initiative is still in the planning phase. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available in the future.
